Digital impressions – 3Shape TRIOS® offers rapid scanning and real-time 3D teeth visualisation. This scanning technology eliminates the need to take dental impressions – a procedure that most patients find unpleasant. With 3Shape TRIOS®, your teeth are scanned using an intra-oral optical endpiece.

The digital impression can be send online to any prosthetics laboratory in the world that has dedicated software. At the lab, a technician designs fillings on the computer, and once these designs are approved, the fillings are made in cutting devices. This is what the CAD/CAM technology is essentially about (computer-aided design/execution). Fillings made using this technique are now considered a universal standard of excellence.
