Endodontics
Root canal treatment is necessary usually as a consequence of untreated caries. Thanks to this type of treatment, we are increasingly able to avoid tooth removal. The procedure can be painless with local anaesthesia.
Root canal treatment involves the removal of inflamed and infected pulp (innervated and vascularised soft tissue), the chemical debridement (disfinection) and mechanical preparation of the chamber and canal using manual and/or powered instruments, and the filling and sealing of the root canal with dedicated materials.
